Frame Assembly Instructions
Site Preparation
1. Select the site where the frame is to be erected. The ground should be as level as possible and free of debris and obstacles.
2. Dig holes 30” deep and approximately 8” in diameter at distances indicated on ground template. This will mount ground
sleeves flush with the ground.
Assembly Instructions (step #14 is very important) – each section of your frame consists of 10 pieces. Refer to parts list to see that
you have received all parts. Assemble each section per the following instructions.
1. Unpack each box and lay out on ground with parts grouped with like parts.
2. Place ground sleeves in your post holes.
3. Place piece #1A and 1B flat on the ground, slide swaged joints together for a snug fit. Upright with holes for winch goes on
the upper left side.
4. Insert 5/16” x 3” bolt through the center hole on winch and through the hole located 10 1/4” from the female end of upright
1A. Add nut but do not tighten.
5. Insert 5/16” x 3” bolt through the slot hole on winch and the matching hole on upright. Add nut and tighten both nuts
securely.
6. Assemble right side of the frame by placing each of the two #1B uprights flat on the ground. Slide swaged joints together
for a snug fit. This completes the right side upright assembly.
7. Place each of the two elbows on the swage end of the two upright poles. Make sure the ends of the elbows with the holes
are directed at toward each other.
8. For top crossbar you will need one 86” cross member with one swaged end and one with two swaged ends. Slide two cross
members together and connect to the two elbows on the side uprights. Make sure the two holes in the end of the double swaged
cross member are connected to the right side elbow (opposite the left upright with the winch). The holes need to be positioned
vertical to the ground.
9. Insert each of the two 5/16” x 3” bolts through the holes in the crossbar where it connects to the elbows. The outer holes
(closest to the uprights) will be used for cable installation.
10. Tighten all nuts securely.
11. This completes the assembly of the first end section.
12. All remaining sections will be assembled in the same fashion. These sections will not have a winch. Make sure all holes in
tube are pointed toward the ground when the sections are in vertical position.
13. Insert all sections into the appropriate ground sleeves. Pour concrete into each hole around the ground sleeves. One 80 lb
bag of concrete for each hole should be sufficient.
14. IMPORTANT: The middle section(s) should be installed completely plumb (straight vertical). Each end section should be
installed to lean outward slightly to measurement of approximately 4” out of plumb.
Note: Purchaser of this product must be responsible for compliance with any local or state building codes pertaining to this
product. Manufacturer, distributor or any of their representatives will assume no liability for code compliance.
Hardware Installation Instructions
Hardware and Cable
1. Before installing the cable and remaining hardware, be sure the concrete is thoroughly set.
2. On the far right corner of the frame, insert an eyebolt.
3. Install the remaining hardware (eyebolts, eyebolts with pulleys).
4. Loop one end of the cable through the eyebolt and secure the cable back to itself using the cable clip provided.
5. Thread the cable through the remaining eyebolts and pulleys.
6. Thread the cable through the pulley above the winch and weave in and out of the square holes in the reel of the winch.
7. Rotate the winch handle several time to overlap the cable onto itself.
8. Rotate the winch to pull enough slack out of the cable system so that all three lengths of cable are hanging approximately
4’ from the ground.
Net Installation
1. Roll out net under the cable system and spread it out flat.
2. Clip net to cable using the 42 snap rings provided. Use 14 snap rings per cable length. Snap rings should be placed
approximately 5’ apart for a 70’ cage and 4’ apart for a 55’ cage.
3. Tighten cable until the net is hoisted into place. CAUTION: DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE CABLE! THIS WINCH IS
POWERFUL ENOUGH TO PULL THE FRAME UPRIGHTS OUT OF THE GROUND!
4. Tighten and secure each corner and center ropes on the net to each corner and center point on the frame. SECURITY:
The reel on the winch can be secured by placing a lock through one of the holes in the side of the reel.
