Chain Link Backstops
(Lay out shown for 10’ backstop; use the
same outside dimensions for 20’ backstop)

Find position on field where backstop is to be placed.
Layout a chalk line as shown in diagram.
Layout holes for back uprights, 125” apart as shown.
From outside pole, mark chalk line at 100” as shown.
Now lay a chalk line 90 degrees from the base line, and mark
this line at 75 1/2” from base line. This is the location for the
outside pole.
Now dig holes approximately 12” in diameter and 24’ deep.
Layout a chalk line as shown in diagram.
Layout holes for back uprights, 125” apart as shown.
From outside pole, mark chalk line at 100” as shown.
Now lay a chalk line 90 degrees from the base line, and mark
this line at 75 1/2” from base line. This is the location for the
outside pole.
Now dig holes approximately 12” in diameter and 24’ deep.
Slide 2 3/8” brace bands on upright poles, (3 each/fence panel)
& place the upright poles in the holes.
Place 1 3/8” brace bands on fence panel tube.
Bolt bottom fence panel to upright post (do not tighten). Be
sure fence material is to the inside and bolts are facing away
from the playing field.
Bolt kennel clamps to fence panel.
Now install top fence panel.
Continue until all remaining panels are installed. Now tighten
all bolts.
Now pour concrete around posts.
& place the upright poles in the holes.
Place 1 3/8” brace bands on fence panel tube.
Bolt bottom fence panel to upright post (do not tighten). Be
sure fence material is to the inside and bolts are facing away
from the playing field.
Bolt kennel clamps to fence panel.
Now install top fence panel.
Continue until all remaining panels are installed. Now tighten
all bolts.
Now pour concrete around posts.
